Maplewood Studio teams up with Sontronics microphones
Coinciding with the launch of Sontronics new drum microphones Stick is producing a series of videos showcasing these amazing new mics along with some other mics from the Sontronics range. There are 3 mics in the drum line up, the DM-1B, a large diaphragm end fire condenser bass mic that is tuned for those low frequencies, kick drums, bass cabs etc, this mic can handle sound pressures up to 155db and has a 15db pad switch on the unit. Next up are the DM-1S & DM1T, these are pencil condensers tuned respectively for snare drums and tom’s. These mics come complete with a mounting bracket that can clip on to the rim of the drum or alternatively you can mount it in a conventional way on a stand. Both the 1S & 1T have 10db pad switches.
